The low everyday-amenity read is in keeping with its character: this is a calm, set-back neighborhood rather than one with shopping at the doorstep. It follows the central-east rhythm: a short drive to the downtown grid, the farmers market and the Sand Creek shopping, with the car doing the work for daily errands. The streets stay residential and low-traffic. The honest tradeoffs are the central-east ones: schools and safety read mid-pack, and there is little within walking distance. For buyers who want a quiet, reasonably priced Brentwood address and accept the drive-everywhere reality, Walnut Woods is a low-key option.
