Brentwood sits at the eastern edge of Contra Costa County where suburban development gives way to open farmland and the wider Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta region. Brentwood sits farther from the core job centers of the Bay Area, so commuting toward Oakland, Walnut Creek, or Silicon Valley can take significant time. Curb appeal across most neighborhoods is strong. Homes are newer, landscaping is well maintained, and streets generally feel orderly and clean. The overall presentation reflects the city’s relatively recent growth. Living in Brentwood offers more space, newer housing, and access to Delta recreation while maintaining a quieter pace than the urban centers farther west.
