Homecoming is one of Brentwood's newer south-side neighborhoods, and it plays a different game than the big-lot tracts around it: the homes here are more compact and efficient, the price of entry is lower, and the safety read is among the strongest in the city. It is a tidy, fresh-feeling community on planned streets. The combination of newer construction, a lower entry price and a strong south-side school orbit is the draw, and it makes Homecoming one of the more accessible ways into newer Brentwood housing. Errands run to the Sand Creek and Streets of Brentwood corridors, a short drive off. The honest tradeoffs are space and commute. You give up the wide lots of the older estates for a smaller, lower-maintenance footprint, and the south-end location carries the long Brentwood haul to the freeway and BART. For buyers who want new and affordable over big and old, that is a fair trade.
