Neighborhood Reviews & Questions

Neighborhood Review

Hunter Oaks spent two decades as Loomis's quietest name-brand subdivision, then Costco moved in next door. The 2024 warehouse at Sierra College Boulevard and Brace Road landed along this pocket's own western flank, which means some of the best-stocked garage fridges in Placer County are now a two-minute drive from the cul-de-sacs. The homes hold their own: single-story ranches from the mid-2000s on Hunter Oaks Lane, Hunters Drive and Howard Lane, most around 2,400 square feet on fifth-acre lots, with an HOA that charges less per month than a rotisserie chicken run. Brace Road is the spine, the Rocklin city line traces the boundary, and Del Oro High School draws the enrollment map. The trade-off is baked in: Interstate 80 angles across the southeast corner and the retail hum off Sierra College Boulevard never fully fades, so this is Loomis convenience rather than Loomis countryside. No park sits inside the pocket either, though Sierra College's campus is a short drive south into Rocklin.
