It belongs to the newer wave of east-side building near Victoria by the Bay: planned streets, tidy lots, and a short hop to the Bayfront and the freeway ramps. The appeal here is position. You are minutes from I-80 for the Oakland and San Francisco run, the Bay Trail and shoreline open space sit close by, and WestCAT's transbay buses pick up nearby. Daily life, though, is drive-to-everything. Groceries, restaurants, and the civic center are all a trip across town rather than a walk out the front door. The honest tradeoff is the freeway itself. Living this close to I-80 buys the commute but also the road noise and the late-afternoon backups west Contra Costa is famous for. For someone who wants a newer Hercules home near the water without paying for a front-row bay lot, Bay Pointe is the practical pick.
