Coventry is a tucked-away wedge in southeast Livermore, hemmed in by Felicia Avenue and Tex Spruiell Park to the northwest, busy South Vasco Road to the east, and East Avenue to the south. Inside, looping streets like Jessica, Arlene, and Rebecca branch into short cul-de-sacs, so traffic stays local and slow. The homes run late-1970s to mid-1980s, mostly one- and two-story ranches with stucco fronts and brick trim, shaded by mature magnolia and ash. A few original shake roofs and aging driveways still turn up block to block. Two parks sit on the doorstep: Tex Spruiell, with its playground and open lawn, and Big Trees Park just across the western edge. The Arroyo Seco bike trail runs south toward Max Baer Park and downtown, errands are a quick hop to Vasco big-box or East Avenue grocers, and I-580 is about seven minutes out. Lawrence Livermore National Lab is directly south, which makes the commute math easy for a lot of the people who live here. The catches are familiar for this corner: Vasco sends a steady hum and the occasional truck rumble to the eastern lots, some interiors are due for updates, and the sidewalks are narrow and disconnected enough that walkers stay alert.
