Lakeview climbs the village's west side in tiers, and its streets read like a roll call of the people who built the town: Tiller Drive for co-founder Harold Tiller, with James Lane and Mays Boulevard carrying names from the Crystal Bay Development Company's founding circle. This was early-plan territory, low on the slope, close to the post office and the shopping district that was designed to serve a brand-new village. The name pays off as you go up. The lower, forested blocks only hint at the water. The upper streets pull long blue views across the whole basin. That geometry has made Lakeview one of Incline's busiest remodel zones, with older homes coming down or opening up to chase the sightlines. Most parcels were built out long ago, so reinvention is the growth model. The Recreation Center and the Incline Way paths sit near the lower edge, which makes the downhill half surprisingly walkable for errands and workouts. The uphill half trades that for the view and a steeper driveway in January. Nobody up there seems to regret the trade.
